Half Year November Conference
23 - 26 November 2016
The organizing committee for 2016 Half Year Conference is delighted to welcome AIJA in Verona, the city of Romeo and Juliet. Verona, also called “little Rome”, was already a Roman colony in the I century B.C. and displays today a very well preserved Roman old town, including the Arena, probably the most fascinating open air lyrical teather in the world.
The marks of diff erent historical periods are here harmoniously moulded together: from Roman ruins to medieval, Venetian and Renaissance style buildings, all is within walking distance. The sweet loops of the Adige, that flows through the city, and the low hills surrounding it at the northern side contribute to creating an harmoniously beautiful landscape.
The social program will also be outstanding, combining Aija’s best tradition, home hospitality, dinner in magnifi cent historical buildings, and running for human rights around the most scenic spots of the city. William Shakespeare wrote “There is no world without Verona walls”: join AIJA Fall Conference and understand why.
