Tax Law Seminar
16 - 17 November 2007
The Tax Law Commission is very proud to present its first Annual Tax Conference, to be held in the beautiful city of Paris. The Annual Tax Conference is a 100% tax event, focusing on the interests of Young Tax Lawyers. The purpose of the Annual Tax Conference is to bring you fully up to date with the latest developments on international tax matters and in participants’ countries. We are very pleased with the confirmed participation of Mr. Peter Schonewille, representing the European Commission, speaking about "Infringement procedures under Article 226 EC and direct taxation", and Mrs. Caroline Silberztein, representing the OECD, speaking about transfer pricing. Invitations to other reputable outside speakers from governmental organizations are in the pipeline. At the same time the Annual Tax Conference will provide a platform for discussions between participants and for presentations of the latest developments in participants’ countries. The program will also cover some skill training on international tax advising, including the art of networking. The Conference Hotel is Hotel Bedford ( http://www.hotel-bedford.com), located in the charming Madeleine Quarter of Paris. The Conference will commence on Friday 16 November 2007 at noon with the presentations, so in principle participants are able to travel in the morning to Paris. On Friday evening a dinner will be organized in one of the excellent restaurants for which Paris is renowned. On Saturday afternoon, the 2-day conference will conclude with a joint lunch at the Conference Hotel, and then Paris awaits you! The full brochure will be e-mailed to you very soon, and from that moment registration is open. For more information, please contact Antoine Gabizon at firstname.lastname@example.org or Michiel Groenland at email@example.com. Put the date of 16-17 November in your diary now! If you are a tax lawyer, make sure that you register as soon as possible. If you aren’t a tax lawyer, persuade your tax colleagues to participate. This is a perfect opportunity to get introduced in the AIJA network of Tax Lawyers.
