As the world marks the one-year anniversary of the beginning of the military invasion of Ukraine by the army of the Russian Federation, the International Association of Young Lawyers (AIJA) calls for the Russian Federation to uphold the Rule of Law and finally cease this unjustified and brutal aggression.
The tragedies and immense suffering created by this conflict are incommensurable and represent a manifest violation of any fundamental international rules, as well as significant harm to the core values of Human Rights.
AIJA reiterates its full support to the people suffering from this armed conflict, in particular to all members of the Ukrainian lawyers, to our individual organisation members, their families and friends.
