The ABA Section of International Law invites you to attend the “2014 North America Forum: Doing Business within the Region and Collaborating Abroad” Conference on November 17-18, 2014 at the Pan Pacific Vancouver Hotel in Vancouver, BC, Canada.
AIJA is a Cooperating Entity on this event and members can take advantage of discounted ABA Section of International Law Member Rates by registering online and selecting the “Cooperating Entity” rate. Registration rates are further discounted for full-time law students, full time gov./academic/NGO, corporate counsel, and young lawyers (35 and under).
This one and a half day conference will feature two parallel tracks on best practices for international companies doing business in North America and for North American companies working internationally. It will begin with a joint plenary on Cross Border Ethics in the Digital Age and will be followed by a series of panels presented by international legal experts on the latest in key topics such as privacy issues, enforcement of judgments, antitrust and compliance. This program will also offer a unique forum for international lawyers to explore and expand their networks as well as meet colleagues from all over the world during networking breakfasts, networking breaks, luncheons and reception, which are included with the registration fee.

AIJA shall not be held liable for any expenses the participant may suffer as the result of participant’s failure to comply with his/her obligations.
It is recommended for each participant to purchase a cancellation and travel insurance.
Please note that in-house counsel registrations are subject to review and confirmation by AIJA. AIJA considers in-house counsel professionals who hold a university degree in law allowing access to a bar association and practicing law as an in-house counsel in private, public, or non-profit companies, institutions or organisations. Please note that in-house counsel who are at the same time active as fee-earning lawyers or consultants are not eligible to the discounted in-house counsel fee.

To the extent necessary for the execution of their respective tasks, our subcontractors in charge of our seminar organisation, our IT infrastructure, our management, the production and maintenance of our website and extranet, are likely to gain access to your data from time to time. Data relating to your participation in the event shall be stored for a period of 10 years. We are obliged to archive billing data until the end of the period required for our tax and accounting obligations, i.e. for 7 full tax years.
We shall store your contact information to keep you informed until you ask us to stop. You have the right to access your data and have it corrected if necessary.
