It is a great honour for me to invite you to our 55th Anniversary in Amsterdam on 23 and 24 June 2017.

The AIJA family is about long-lasting, global friendships, even if years go by without seeing each other. We have organized a day full of activities that will commemorate the vision and values our association has been standing for over half a century. In the morning, join us for a special session where we will discuss Digital transformation and Law Firms Management: strategical key issues. Followed by a light lunch.

You will have free time in the late afternoon to explore Amsterdam. Visit an exhibition in a famous museum, take a relaxing canal cruise, go wild at the Amsterdam zoo – the options are near endless! What would a 55th Anniversary be without a birthday party? We will kick the night off with a cocktail reception, accompanied with snacks and drinks from the bar.

For the Anniversary Gala Dinner, we will move to a unique and exclusive venue in the heart of Amsterdam. The intimate atmosphere and warm interior create an ambiance guaranteed to make this Anniversary event special and unforgettable. And please don’t miss the dessert, there is enough for everyone.

I am looking forward to seeing you in Amsterdam for the Birthday Celebration.

Digital transformation is impacting all industries, including the legal one with no exception. This session will address, with the support of experienced professionals and law firms’ advisors, on the impact of technology on law firm’s management, both as an opportunity – improving productivity and efficiency - and a risk, as in case of cybersecurity attacks. The use of social media, software and Artificial Intelligence have already and will continue to impact the way legal services are rendered to clients but also have an effect of law firm’s structure in terms of number of professionals needed, career path for lawyers and leverage.
