Event Overview

Join our session with BARBRI to explore how lawyers and law students can build a truly global qualification pathway.

Robert Dudley, Head of Employability & Engagement at BARBRI, will explore the routes into practice in England & Wales via the SQE, alongside pathways into the US legal market through BARBRI's Bar Prep programmes. Mayumi Brown, Senior Business Development Manager at BARBRI, will then turn to professional education, looking at how legal professionals can continue developing their skills and credentials.

This session will be useful if you're a law student weighing up your qualification options, an internationally trained lawyer considering a U.S. or England & Wales qualification, or a legal professional looking to invest in ongoing development.

Considering the SQE route to qualifying as a solicitor in England and Wales? With BARBRI's SQE1 Prep course, study options are designed to fit around different backgrounds and schedules:

Accelerated - 10 weeks online, full-time (40 study hours/week), best for recent law graduates able to study full time

Focused - 20 weeks online, part-time (20 study hours/week), best for recent graduates fitting studies around other commitments

Flexible - 40 weeks online, part-time (10-12 study hours/week), best for non-law graduates, international law graduates, qualified lawyers, or those in full-time employment

All materials are available anytime via desktop, mobile or app, in short 15-20 minute sessions. BARBRI also provides a Personal Study Plan that builds a schedule around your own calendar, plus 3,200 practice MCQs, 8 mock tests and a fully simulated mock exam to help you prepare thoroughly for the assessment. Support is built in throughout their courses - BARBRI offers sessions with a learning coach, the ability to ask legal questions via the study plan, and workshops with tutors and other students, alongside wellbeing support.

One BARBRI student says: "I wholeheartedly recommend the BARBRI SQE Prep Courses to anyone looking to embark on their SQE journey, I'm confident that they will receive the best possible support and resources to succeed."
