E-voting at 2025 AIJA Annual Congress

31 JULY 2025

At the 63rd Annual Congress, AIJA will be using its secure e-voting system!

This year, during the 63rd International Young Lawyers’ Congress in Washington, D.C., members will elect a new Vice-President of AIJA, a new Treasurer, and vote on the partial renewal of the Executive Committee. E-voting will also be used for any additional resolutions submitted to the General Assembly on Friday, 29 August 2025.

E-voting is simple, secure, and accessible – whether you are joining us in Washington or participating online. Here’s why it matters:

1. Direct Participation
E-voting enables more efficient, inclusive, and transparent engagement. It ensures that AIJA decisions reflect the collective voice of its members – wherever they are in the world.

2. Convenience
With just a few clicks, members can cast their vote from any device, anywhere in the world. Simply log into a secure platform via your web or mobile browser and vote at your convenience during the election window.

3. Security
AIJA’s e-voting platform guarantees voter privacy, election integrity, and data protection through advanced encryption protocols.
To vote securely, follow these steps:

Step 1: Log in to MyAIJA during the election period and click on the link in the ‘AIJA ELECTIONS’ box at the top of the homepage. This link will only be active during the voting window.
Step 2: Once redirected, follow the on-screen instructions and complete your ballot. No additional identification is required.
Step 3: If you are a proxy holder, please note that you cannot cast more or fewer votes than the number officially assigned to you.

4. Accuracy
E-voting ensures precise and real-time vote collection. It eliminates the risk of over-voting and guarantees that only eligible members, verified through their unique Membership ID on MyAIJA, are able to cast a vote.
